More Than 50 and Twice As Tired

More Than 50 and Twice As Tired

Today I rode from Newport, where I almost died on the bridge to
Netarts. The whole trip was to take 80 miles, but not wanting to fight
the wind that long I jumped off course here and there saving myself 15
miles. Unfortonately I had to climb to 1,000 feet again due to my
short cut, but it was worth it. The last 5 miles was a climb up to 900
feet and wore me out.

To celebrate being almost done and making of over 65 miles into the
wind I am making some penne pasta. Sounds delicious!! It is cooking
right now and will be servered with some mushroom & ripe olive
marinara sauce.

I am no more than 200 yards from the coast right now so I will be
hearing the waves all night long. Lovely ehh?

On other news I am just over 60 miles from Astoria and I hope that
means done with the Oregon head winds!!

Well time to eat or at least finish preparing the food. I hope it
turns out well.
