Time to Leave
Well the day for the big start date has arrived. I will be flying out of Minneapolis via Sun Country Airlines here in the 11 hours and will be on my way to the adventure of my life. I hope that I am able to keep you all posted on anything exciting that happens once the trip starts, but if not I will for sure catch you all up once I return. If I can't I will call my dad and he can update the site. That being said I have the bike all boxed up and ready to be put on the plane. I couldn't fit everything into the box with the bike, but I got the vast majority in so I only have to check one other bag on top of the checking of the bike. As of now I am not worried about anything except getting my bike to CA in one working piece. I feel a little uneasy about letting it out of my site and in the hands of others, but there is nothing I can do about that. I am completely ready to get the bike put together and hit the road tonight if I am able so I can go camp somewhere North of San Diego. I will figure it out. Or I will ride south to Imperial Beach and maybe camp down there. I am suppose to meet with an old friend from high school and her husband for dinner, but not sure how to do that with the bike. I have tried not to think about leaving everyone behind and have been avoid actually saying goodbye to anyone because it makes it easier on me. That is a little selfish I know, but I feel right now I need to only worry about my mental, psychological state and not trying to please others. I am trying to attack this trip as I would you typical weekend backpacking trip, and some flying by the seat of the pants approach as there are so many variables that can come into play that I only want to think about when I need to think about them. So if I didn't say good bye to you or something it is because I am coming back and though I will be gone for a month, I will return. This I promise to you all. So Grandma, Nanna, Mom, Dad, Alex, Cooper, Christian, Ruth, Mark, Jeffra, and any other friends and family that I never really said good bye to I am just going for a bike ride, a little longer then most people ride, but a bike ride none the less so there is no need to worry. I will see you all soon enough.
