80 Miles....Worst Day of the Ride.....
Quick update. Had a really tough day today. Found out fires have closed roads north of me now. No way to ride thru. Was on 101 today...temp was 108 degrees. Never experienced this kind of heat before on bike. Ran out of water....had to hike up mountain with bike. Burn on my hand started bleeding again. Ended up in Paso Robles. No place in town to tent camp. Staying at a cheap hotel...and will probably have to take bus or train to San Jose to get north of the fires....no other choice. Check back later for more updates.....

Sorry to hear you had a rough day man especially on my birthday. I have been keeping up with your trip and what you you are doing is amazing. Just know everyone here is thinking about you.
